What did the property owners want to achieve?
Mr and Mrs Day wanted to improve the energy efficiency of their village home, situated on The Drive, just off of Dinghurst Road. The existing double glazed windows at the front of the house were continuously misting up, which was an indication that they were at the end of their usable life. The double glazed windows and small tilt and turn window will significantly reduce heat loss and help Mr and Mrs Day to enjoy a warm and comfortable home. The tilt function on the individual stained glass window will ease access for cleaning and opening.
The stylish new sliding patio door will provide quick access to outside spaces and bring much needed light into the living room – benefits that weren’t so easy with the old aluminium door. Equally, the front door (which was replaced with an ornate half glazed uPVC design with leaded and bevelled glass), adds a touch of elegance to the property’s exterior.
