Covid-19 Sales Safe Guide
Majestic Designs are committed to keeping both our customers and employees safe. As the country eases out of the lockdown period, we wanted to share with you our plan to resume sales appointments. By following the guidelines set out by the Government, which you can view here, we are now able to carry out consultations. This will, however, require some cooperation from you. We will keep this page updated as and when new guidance is released, ensuring that you, your family and our workers are always kept safe.
We want to make sure that all our customers are comfortable having our staff enter their homes. This is obviously up to individual customers, and we will respect any decision to delay appointments. To reassure you, we will lay out the steps we have taken, and will continue to take, to meet Government guidelines.
All our staff members have been checked for symptoms of COVID-19. They will be required to read and agree to the safety guidelines set out by our company and the Government. If any are showing symptoms, they will be asked to isolate for 7 days and not return to work. Staff members that are deemed fit to work will always keep 2 meters from you. They will also make sure to wash or sanitise their hands thoroughly before entering your home and in between appointments. All employees will be required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as gloves and face masks. This will give both them, and your family, protection.
How You Can Help
If you are happy for your consultation meeting to go ahead within your home, there are a few ways in which you can help us adhere to guidelines.
Before you book your appointment, it is important that you first consider your household, and the work you wish to have carried out. If there is anyone living in your home that is showing symptoms or is deemed to be vulnerable by the Government and shielding, then unfortunately, we will not be able to visit your home. Please only make an appointment if none of your household members are showing symptoms. If a member of your household starts to show signs of symptoms such as a high temperature, a new persistent cough, or loss of smell and taste, after you have made an appointment then please let us know as soon as possible so we can rearrange our visit.
We ask that you limit the number of people who interact with our employees and keep 2 metres between you. If possible, please keep children, elderly relatives, and any pets shut away in a different room to that which the employees will need to enter. This helps reduce the risk of cross contamination. It is also advisable that you open as many windows as possible to have suitable ventilation for the duration of the visit.
During the Visit
Before entering your house, our employees will put on the correct PPE (a face covering and gloves). We ask that, once you have opened the door, you step back and greet our staff. They will ask you again to confirm no members of your household have symptoms of COVID-19 and will declare that they themselves are symptom free.
You will need to show our employees to an area of your home that allows for a safe, socially distanced, consultation. Our team members will only enter the rooms that are necessary for the consultation. To avoid any cross contamination, all our staff will make sure to bring their own stationary, and will ask that, if you need to sign any documentation, you use your own pen. We also ask that you leave all internal doors open unless they are to keep pets or other family members isolated. This will also help reduce the risk of cross contamination.
All samples will be wiped clean and disinfected before entering your home, but please do ask if you wish to see them being cleaned in front of you for peace of mind. They will also be wiped clean once the consultation is over, as will any surfaces that our employees touch or encounter. Any PPE that is worn will be taken away by our employees and disposed of in an appropriate manner.
