How modern uPVC windows are better than ever!
If you’ve already had uPVC windows and double glazing installed in your home, you’re probably all too aware of the benefits they bring you and will continue to bring. Total energy-efficiency, big savings on heating costs, a reduced carbon footprint, and good looks as well. Of course, each is connected and it shows, without doubt, how modern uPVC windows are better than ever.
State-of-the-art uPVC windows
As with most products, the key to the success of modern uPVC windows lies in what has gone before and the ability to evolve and develop the technology behind it. If you already have uPVC windows in your home, but you’re unsure when they were fitted, how do you know if your double glazing needs replacing? If you do have old uPVC windows which were fitted before you moved in or are over a decade old, you and your home could benefit greatly from a modern window upgrade.
So if replacement uPVC windows are currently high on your list of home improvement priorities, how do you know what’s changed and what’s best for your home to maximise efficiency? As we said, the technology behind uPVC window and double glazing manufacture has moved on leaps and bounds over the decades.
Together with a wider range of options, styles, and colours, there’s also been advances on efficiency, security, and durability, all to make state-of-the-art, modern uPVC windows that are better than ever.
High-quality windows for a higher standard of living
At Majestic Designs, our uPVC windows are being continually developed so your home has the highest quality finished windows when fully installed. Because of this ongoing advancement in materials and techniques, all our high-quality, modern windows feature these attributes:
A+14 Energy Efficiency Rated glazing as standard
All double glazing is rated using the Window Energy Rating (WER) scale. Based on each window’s U-value, solar heat gain value, and overall insulating capacity, it’s rated from A – G, with A being the highest performing. Every window manufactured by Majestic Designs has a rating of A+14 as standard, giving you the best in energy efficiency.
Warm edge thermal spacer bars and argon gas sealed units
To help us reach our A+14 rating, every window is fitted with warm edge, thermal spacer bars, and air and argon gas-filled gaps in each sealed glazing units. The spacer bars help to insulate the edges of each sealed, double glazed unit and the gas helps reduce the amount of heat lost through each window, making them far more energy-efficient.
Proven energy-efficiency
Every window Majestic Designs manufactures is certified by the British Fenestration Rating Council (BFRC) – the UK’s most trusted, and widely used, rating council for window energy performance. Having the BFRC certification confirms that all our windows have been recognised and rated for excellent energy-efficiency, including improved solar gain, reduced air leakage, and reduced thermal losses.
Reinforced and welded joints for thermal and acoustic insulation
Keeping the heat in and the noise out is usually high on any homeowners priority list when it comes to modern uPVC windows. That’s why all our windows are designed and manufactured with reinforced and welded joints in a five-chamber profile that maintains the strength of the unit, but also adds to the thermal performance of the window and reduces outside noise.
Secured by Design-accredited security
We take the security features of our windows – and doors – just as seriously as you do. It’s why all our Endurance composite doors are accredited by the Official Police Security Initiative, Secured By Design. But all our windows and doors are manufactured and purpose-made for security, to help you and your family feel safe and secure with complete peace of mind.
Internal beading as standard for extra security
Giving you an added layer of security for each window, internal beading is a plastic strip that fits into the frame’s recess that holds the glazing in place. The beading is placed on the side of the frame facing into your home, so it can’t be accessed or removed from the outside. All our windows are internally beaded as standard for a flusher finish and increased security.
A wide choice of colour options and finishes
Modern double glazing and uPVC windows have moved on since their introduction in the 70s and 80s when the standard was plain white. Majestic Design offers you a range of different or bespoke window styles as well as a choice of 13, hard-wearing uPVC frame colours – including wood grain finishes – that won’t fade, all to suit the style and features of your home, even if it’s a period, heritage, or listed property.
