What are Bifold Doors?

Under current UK building regulations (Part L), replacement doors with more than 60% glazing must achieve a U-value of 1.4 W/m²K or better. For new build homes, the target U-value is 1.2 W/m²K. When comparing products, make sure you are looking at the overall U-value of the complete door system, including the frame. Some manufacturers quote only the centre pane U-value, which will always be lower than the overall figure.
